Thanksgiving Keyword Bargains

thanksgiving-keywords
Ever wonder if anyone is bidding on Thanksgiving related keywords?  Well let me tell you that the word “thanksgiving” only brought back one site who is bidding on the keyword via Google Adwords.  With less than 48 hours to the big day is the lack of advertisers strange?

Not counting what happens at 5am the following day, it could be argued that Thanksgiving is one of the least commercialized of the major holidays.  Granted any good PPC campaign manager knows that long tail and more narrowly targeted keywords bring back the best results, but most campaigns typically throw a small portion of the budget toward broad keywords in order to round out traffic streams.

With over six million queries last month, a note to local restaurants and grocers.  Run a short geo-targeted campaign two weeks prior to the holiday to bring in cheap targeted traffic.

Nice take, but here isn’t much action behind these keywords for someone to bid on them except for local like you stated
